Notes
On the reverse of this panel is the design based on McCahon's waterfall motif, [Waterfalls: Design for University of Otago Library mural], which was eventually chosen as the basis of the final commission Waterfall theme & variations. McCahon made the waterfall design at the insistence of Dunedin-based friends who knew of the request for designs from the Registrar of the University of Otago.
